Even though most of the snow has melted away, it is still very very cold outside. Today I am all wrapped up in my winter clothes - I am wearing my nice warm coat, my woolly hat, scarf and gloves.
In class we have learned a special trick to put on our coats by ourselves - can you remember how to do this? I wonder if you can try zipping up your coat too?
Today I would like you to try dressing up in your warm winter clothes, see if you can put them on by yourself!

Today we are going to practise our letter sounds. Let’s start with s a t and p again, just to make sure we know them really really well.
I’ve found a lovely video that we can watch, to help us with our s a t and p sounds. Try to write these too – either on paper, or maybe using rice or sand like we did with our numbers last week.
If you would like to move on, there is a link to the next four letter sounds in set 2 - i n m and d.
Enjoy!

Last week you practised forming your numbers to 5. Let’s do this a little more today. I’ve found a lovely sheet with rhymes to help us remember how to write our numbers correctly.
Don’t worry if you can’t print this sheet. Have a look on screen, then have a little try at writing them - using the rhymes to help you.
Physical
Let’s try keeping active during this Lockdown!
Joe Wicks has started running his live work out sessions again on his Youtube channel, every Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 9 o’clock – have a try doing his workout today. Don’t worry if you’re not able to join in at 9 o’clock with the live work out, you can do it at any time - just follow the link to his Youtube channel below.
I wonder which fancy dress outfit he will wear this morning?!

Good Morning Clever Crocodiles!
This week one of our whole school tasks is to make a craft relating to Santes Dwynwen Day next week. I think it would be lovely if we learned a little bit more about Santes Dwynwen, so we understand why we celebrate every year.
Please find below a PowerPoint to tell the story of St Dwynwen. It is a little long, so it might be an idea to split the story into sections rather reading it all through in one sitting.
Numeracy
We have been working hard singing our ‘Five Little Ducks’ rhyme this week, this helps us to count backwards from 5. Well done!
Try playing this Sausages game – you need to click on the sausages to make them pop! Count each sausage, starting with 5, then pop one at a time, counting them to see how many you are left with each time!
Happy counting!
Topic
As we are learning about Santes Dwynwen day today, I have found a lovely activity for you to do at home – making frozen hearts!
Please don’t worry if you don’t have heart shapes moulds at home, just use a small bowl or anything similar as an alternative.
I’m sure you’ll have lots of fun with this activity!

Bore da pawb! Hope you are all well and keeping safe.
This week we are having another whole school competition – this one is all about handwriting.
We know you have been working really hard with learning how to write your names, so today I’d like you to practise this at home please. Do you remember last term, you took home the whiteboard I made for you with your names on? You can use the tiles to help you spell your names, then copy these to write them by yourself. You can do it!
Write your name as clearly as you can, then send me or Miss Hicks a picture of your hard work. Good luck!

Last week we starting learning the ‘Five Little Ducks’ rhyme. Sing this again at home, using your fingers to help you count down.
Take a look at this game all about the ‘Five Little Ducks’ rhyme, count the ducks on each slide – it will be so much fun!
Creative
I hope you have had lots of singing ‘Five Little Ducks’ this week. It would be really lovely if you could try making a little duck using simple craft items you have around the house.
Here is an example of a little duck made from a toilet paper roll, paint, card and feathers. You can swap these with whatever you have to use at home.
Have fun making yours!

Good Morning! Hope you are all safe and well
This term we are launching Pori Drwy Stori. This is a lovely programme which is designed to help develop the children's Oracy skills, and also skills in Language and Numeracy. There are resources for us to use in school, as well as for you to use with your child at home, in order to support them most effectively.
My plan was to invite all Parents and Carers into school one afternoon to introduce the programme, so we'd start off having a very clear idea of what is entailed and how it will benefit our children.
However this current Lockdown has meant we'll have to do this a little differently! The supporting resources were scheduled to be delivered to us by now, but they have been delayed due to Covid. As soon as we have them in school we will distribute them to you. In the meantime, I have some links to electronic copies of the resources which I will share with you today.
Please find below the link to the Pori Drwy Stori Presentation, which gives more detail about the programme and what it aims to achieve. On page 7 there is a QR code, which will take you directly to videos of rhymes being sung by practitioners.
We will focus on a new rhyme every fortnight, starting with 'Five Little Ducks'. Enjoy singing this with our child, then we will set some activities related to this next week.

Today I would like you to try counting numbers in order - use your fingers or toys to help!
