Learning together, trusting each other

Welcome

What have we been learning this week?

21/3/2021

Another excellent week, the children have written superb diaries in role as a child coal miner, remembered those we have lost due to Coronavirus for “Light up Wales Day” and made Easter craft in school and also shared Easter bonnets made at home.

15/3/2021 KS2 Return to School!

Lucky Leopards have had an excellent week. They have found out about diary writing, written Alan Peat sentences about children working in coal mines, used De Bona thinking hats to analyse coal mining historical sources and multiplied and divided numbers by 10 in mathematics.
On Friday the children raised money for Comic Relief, they had mad hair and took part in fun activities in class. A great first week back!

Week 5/10/2020

This week the children have been learning about past heroes they have read the book

Stubby: A True Story of Friendship. Wonderfully told and illustrated by the multiple award winner; Michael Foreman. He tells the true story of a stray dog who is adopted by an American soldier and goes to war with his new owner's division during World War 1.
The children have made predictions about the books, came up with questions about the story, designed a new front cover and designed a shelter for Stubby using Maths skills. They have also had a well being morning on Friday.
